Privacy isn't just a feature in LastChat, it's central to the design. Here's how we protect your data:

  • Your chats are stored locally on your device, not on our servers. We add an extra layer of protection by encrypting your conversations with AES-256 GCM encryption, using keys unique to your account. This means your chat history is secure and under your control.
  • All data requests to LLM providers are made over a secure (SSL) connection, ensuring your data is encrypted in transit.
  • LastChat uses language models hosted by Amazon Web Services. When using these models, prompts and metadata are sent to Amazon's Bedrock service, which makes the following data commitments: Amazon Bedrock doesn't store or log your prompts and completions. Amazon Bedrock doesn't use your prompts and completions to train any AWS models and doesn't distribute them to third parties.
